Born Olasunkanmi Salaam in Lagos state(southside of Nigeria). Fell in love with music the day he listened to 'sexual healing' from Marvin Gaye and 'give it to me' from Rick James. Grew up with 4 siblings,went through primary and high school in the same town of his birth. He badged a bachelor's degree in political science from the prestigious University of Ibadan. Started singing in '97 with an acapella group locally known as "da supreme boiz",spent some time studin the art of music,began writing his own lyrics in '99 practised through 2003 when he gained admission to the university. He sang with several musical groups,he later went solo in 2006. In 2008,he won the Mtn/Soundcity Campusblast musical competition held in Ibadan and later went on the 2face & friends tour... The name 'SKY' is simply a metaphorical expression that's used to describe the level of his musical versatility and 'NIGHTINGALE' simply means a songbird. Sky Nightingale is currently signed to Pedigree Records
